SOCIAL SERVICES
Ocean Health Initiatives is an integral part of the community that it serves by working closely with government agencies, health care providers and community human and social service organizations. These collaborations and partnerships encompass Ocean County, NJ with respect to specific services and programs and have been ongoing for years.
OHI strives to engage in community education services regarding lifestyle changes that impact preventable diseases. One of OHI's major goals is to increase the prevention of disease. Since the major chronic diseases such as heart disease, cancer, stroke, COPD, and diabetes are an extension of what people do or do not do, OHI intends to promote health behavior choices to users of all ages, relative to chronic disease, for both adults and the elderly. OHI hopes to accomplish this through education and through collaboration with local community agencies to reduce the incidence of chronic disease.
OHI provides primary health services with both regional and local health care and human services providers.
